I've heard that Prince Charles once remarked that brutalist architecture did more to destroy British cities than the Blitz did. It certainly has worked horrors on Boston with Boston City Hall. Supposedly Boston City Hall has its offices lifted off the ground on three storey concrete pillars in order to allow the snipers to better control rioting mobs...
