Apple Does it Again

The newly announced iPhone looks absolutely incredible. Too bad we will have to wait until June. Also, too bad we will be limited to Cingulair in the United States. The phone most likely will start at $500 USD plus a minimum $50/month for 2 years commitment, but I dare say it would be worth it for such an amazing device. For a premier device from a company 5 years ahead of its time, who can argue?

Crooked Timber's profound reaction.

I have to admit it as well. I have this incredible desire for the iphone, just simply genous. But I will simply wait for 2 years maybe before I'll buy it. I mean, I rather let the real tecnology nerds pay for the developing costs so I can buy it cheaper when the iphone isn't that "hot"...

Btw, in Europe, the iphone is around 750 USD+tax!!!

And tax is about 25%, no?

consumption tax in sweden is that high but in most euroepeean countries it's actually lower. They decided to rase the consumption tax in some other europeen countries. This is of course in order to maintain the welfare state. If people can afford to buy iphones then they can pay for the welfare.
